Why I love Butternut Squash Soup

The first time I made butternut squash soup,it turned out amazing ! That time I simply cut the butternut squash in pieces , let in boiled in hot water then added some salt and pepper, a bit of cream and a potato. Somehow it turned out great. My many attempts after that one…not so great. So I decided to stop trying and started looking at every butternut squash with resentment. It all stopped when I started roasting my butternut squash instead. This step is definitely a game changer.

Roasting the butternut squash brings a delicious and rich caramelised flavour to your soup. You’ll fall in love with the smell of your kitchen ! It is incredible. It also spare you the hassle of having to peel and cut chunks of butternut squash.

This is definiltly one of my winter staple ! Try it yourself and it might become one of yours as well ! You’ll reach your “5 a day” in a blink of an eye !

The Ingredients

The list of ingredients is really simple, nonetheless this soup taste is AMAZING ! All you’ll need is : Butternut Squash, onion, garlic, salt, nutmeg, peppers, Chili flakes, water, cream, olive oil.

No need for strict proportion for this recipe. Simply use as much of each ingredients as you’d like.
